  • AIT Austrian Institute of Technology

    The Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) is the largest non-university research institute and a specialist among the European research institutes in key infrastructure issues of the future. 

    Role in project: The AIT will lead the development of dynamic logistic optimization and data analytics. They will be coordinating the demonstration in Vienna and will provide input for the assessment as well.

  • BERNARD Engineers

    BERNARD Engineers is a multinational engineering company within the BERNARD Group. They offer planning, consultancy and engineering services in the markets of Industry, Energy, Infrastructure and Transport. From project conception to completion, their aim is to achieve sustainable solutions.
    Role in project: BERNARD Engineers will provide the project with data and knowledge about construction sites and management as well as optimization of site- and supply logistics. Besides that, they will contribute to the development and testing of smart governance concepts by providing their experiences. They will take part in the demonstration in Vienna by providing data, assessing impacts and stakeholder involvement as well.


  • Brussels Mobility

    Brussels Mobility is part of the Brussels Regional Public Service and is the regional authority responsible for drawing-up the general public and private transportation policies and for providing and operating the road and public transport facilities.  

    Role in project: Brussels Mobility is currently implementing the Strategic Plan for Goods Traffic in The Brussels-Capital Region focusing on a more sustainable urban distribution. In that framework, we promote more sustainable logistics for construction. Brussels Mobility will support in the demonstration in Brussels. 



  • Chalmers University of Technology

    Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, conducts research and offers education in technology, science, shipping and architecture with a sustainable future as its global vision. Chalmers is well-known for providing an effective environment for innovation. 

    Chalmers University of Technology will be represented by two departments and one center: The department of Technology Management and Economics (TME), the department of Architecture and Civil Engineering (ACE). 


    Role in project: Chalmers University of Technology will be exploring the construction logistics scenarios from the perspective of the off-site supply chain, lead the development and evaluation of a logistic distribution game and as well testing and evaluation tools and process for the Smart Governance Concept.


  • Lindholmen Science Park

    CLOSER is the Swedish arena for research, development and innovation within transport efficiency. The arena is a part of Lindholmen Science Park. They offer a neutral innovation and demonstration environment for collaboration between industry, academy and public sector. One of the most important tasks of CLOSER is initiating and coordinating large national and European demonstration projects. 
    Role in project: Lindholmen Science Park will be the overall project leader and plan, co-ordinate and control the project’s activities in close collaboration with the WP leaders and lead implementation partners and also lead the dissemination activities.

  • Linköping University

    The research on Construction Logistics within Linköping University (LiU) is organized under the Department of Science and Technology. The Construction Logistics group consists of seven people, including five PhD students. The research group focuses on needs-driven research with the overall objective to build more efficiently in terms of time, costs, and quality.
    Role in project:  LiU will be the work package leader for the development of construction logistics scenarios, lead the scenario evaluation and the testing of Smart Governance Concept 2.0. LiU is the National Demonstration Coordinator for the Swedish demonstrations in collaboration with implementation partners.




    SINTEF is Scandinavia's largest independent multi-disciplinary and non -profit research organization. Institutes: Building and infrastructure Digital.  Develop sustainable construction and infrastructure and offers world class expertise in optimization based decision support. 

    Role in project: SINTEF will lead work of testing and implementation of SMART Governance and assessing the impact framework for on-site construction logistics.


  • Vrije Universiteit Brussel

    The Mobility, Logistics and Automotive Technology Research Group (MOBI) is nested at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and is leader in electric & hybrid vehicles and in social-economic evaluations for urban mobility & sustainable logistics. 
    Role in project: MOBI/VUB will develop the conceptual framework and they will contribute to the demonstrations and assessment of progress and results. VUB will lead the work of impact assessment and adaptation and implementation of MAMCA framework. VUB is the demonstration coordinator for the Brussels demonstration in close cooperation with Brussels Mobility and the port of Brussels.
